Petroleum Firefly Quartz 18.44g Specimen with Mobile Enhydro - UV Reactive

Petroleum Quartz, or Firefly Quartz, is clear quartz that has petroleum inclusions. These inclusions give the Firefly Quartz a gorgeous glow under UV Blacklight. 

This piece is highly reactive to blacklight, as shown. The first photo here was taken in darkness, using only a blacklight. The second photo was taken under normal light conditions. This piece also has a mobile enhydro, meaning the fluid trapped inside the quartz moves. I have circled the area of the enhydro in the 3rd image.

This piece does not stand on it's own in this position, but can easily displayed upright with the use of a small amount of museum wax.
